Meet Brittany N. Diehl, DVM, MS

Dr. Diehl originally hails from southern Somerset County, PA and is excited to return home to launch Appalachian Tri-State Veterinary Services (ATSVS) to serve the region starting in May 2026. Dr. Diehl was raised on a livestock and crop farm in Addison, PA where she and her family raise sheep and beef cattle. This foundation helped instill a passion within her for veterinary medicine and the agriculture industry. While growing up, Dr. Diehl was actively involved in 4-H and FFA programs and continues to support these programs today.

Dr. Diehl earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal & Nutritional Sciences at West Virginia University in 2015. In 2019, she received her DVM degree from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech.  She then completed an internship, Master of Science degree and residency at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in the Food Animal Reproduction & Medicine Service.

Dr. Diehl has served as a faculty member at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, where she was Clinical Assistant Professor & Small Ruminant Extension Specialist for three years. She has been integrally involved in production-based ram and buck performance testing, primarily related to parasite resistance and growth parameters.  Her clinically applied research has focused on small ruminant parasitology and reproduction.

Outside of work, Dr. Diehl enjoys spending time with her husband and family on their farm. They also enjoy spending time in the outdoors, kayaking, and camping.
